Welcome to Bay Farm PTSA
President's Welcome Letter
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning families. I hope you had a safe and enjoyable summer and are ready for this rather unusual year.
We Are One
This is an unprecedented year with our Bay Farm School community split into flex, remote and even non-AUSD schools. Please know that no matter where you are, as long as you consider Bay Farm School your “home school” you are welcome to remain part of the Bay Farm School PTSA community. The PTSA is working hard to maintain the sense of community with all Bay Farm students and families through communications, enrichment activities and virtual events.
Join and Get Involved – You Can Make a Difference!
I encourage everyone regardless of their direct affiliation with the school, remote, non-AUSD, grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, to become a member and participate in the PTSA! Everyone is welcome to join, the PTSA does not discriminate based on geographic location, age, other PTA memberships, occupation or any other factor. And while volunteering may not be in person for the time being, we still need you! There will be many PTSA programs and events running virtually and we need people to help lead and assist with these activities. Whether you have just 30 minutes or a few hours to give, we would love to have your participation. No prior experience is necessary, just enthusiasm! Please check out the current opportunities.
Konstella is the PTSA’s main method for providing information about special events, volunteer opportunities, and important news. Konstella offers chat groups for your child’s classroom, a directory where you can control what is visible, as well as a variety of community topics. If you are new to Bay Farm School, please visit konstella.com to register and add your child to their classroom. Existing Konstella users, including Remote families, just need to log in and add their child to their classroom (a Remote Learning classroom has been created). If you are in a non-AUSD school, you are welcome to remain in Konstella and while your child will not be assigned to a classroom you will receive school wide announcements and have full access to all Konstella features. Please note that while Konstella is the PTSA’s communication tool, the district will be using ParentSquare as their communication platform. These systems are separate, you will need to configure both to receive the distinct messages from each.
Our focus for 2020-2021
The PTSA is proud to continue our support for the award-winning Outdoor Learning Center, STEAM programs, music, social-emotional development, family events, teacher support and more. These PTSA sponsored activities enrich our students’ education and help make Bay Farm School the distinguished school it is. We are working hard to ensure we bridge the gap between the various learning environments and remain as one Bay Farm community. Keep an eye out for Konstella announcements about activities for all students. Please also explore our website, where you can learn about the programs and services supported by the PTSA as well as find information on PTSA minutes, home learning resources, purchase spirit wear and much more.
The PTSA’s support of our school and students is only made possible through your generosity and the most significant source of financial support for our amazing programs is the annual donation drive. We understand that this current health crisis has brought on many challenges and we want to be sensitive to everyone’s situation but hope you will still be able to give because our important work to support our teachers and our children through the PTSA remains.
Use Your Voice at the First PTSA Meeting of the Year
Please join us for our first PTSA meeting, Wednesday, Sept. 9th at 6:30 pm to review the budget for the year and learn about all the PTSA has planned for our school community this year. Check the Konstella calendar for Zoom information.
