Join us for a Veterans Day garden workday. There is much to do in the…
Costal Cleanup Day (9/18)
Join our community and Californian’s from across the state in participating in California’s annual Coastal Cleanup Day! Let’s come together (safely!) to help remove the trash and plastic pollution from our environment, demonstrate a commitment to healthy waters and ecosystems, and accomplish something meaningful.
Join the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) staff in-person on September 18th at a local shoreline (including Crown Beach or MLK Regional Shoreline). Visit the EBRPD webpage for more information and to register for the in-person event, which will have staggered start times.
During the pandemic, you also have the option to participate in a self-guided neighborhood cleanup. Gather cleanup supplies from home, download the CleanSwell app (to count your trash and to have your trash counted!), and clean on your own time throughout September. Trash from inland areas flows downstream to the coast, so cleaning up neighborhood trash reduces marine debris, especially where we live here next to the Bay.
Visit the CA Coastal Cleanup Day webpage or the East Bay Regional Park webpage for more information.
