Here at Bay Farm we work together to adopt all our teachers. When you donate to Adopt-a-Teacher, you are giving our teachers more of the valuable funds they need to support learning opportunities for their classroom. Teachers use the donations to purchase additional resources and materials including classroom technology, cooking supplies, science projects and other items to enhance your child’s education. These funds will go directly to the teachers and will not be used for any other PTSA programs.
Our goal is to get 100% of the teachers adopted including PE, Music, Spanish, the Learning Center and Media Center!
A recommended donation is $25 per child; however, you are welcome contribute more towards adopting your student’s teachers. A full teacher adoption is $500.
***Although we are starting the 2020/21 year in distance learning, this doesn’t change the fact that teachers will need supplies and some of these are even more expensive than regular supplies! Teachers have mentioned needing better tools to teach online from home and additional sets of books that can be sent home to kids. There is also hope that eventually the teachers will be back in their classrooms, at which point they will also need funds to supplement their classroom supplies so that historically shared items can be one-to-one for the students.***
