Become a PTSA Member

The number one reason to join our Parent Teacher Student Association is to make a difference in your child’s education. But there are many more PTSA advantages:

  • Be connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening at Bay Farm than being part of the PTSA!
  • Participate in decision-making. You (and your student) can vote on programs, events, and planned activities.
  • Build relationships. Bay Farm’s PTSA connects you to other families and helps build a sense of school community.
  • Share your valuable skills. There are many opportunities for you to use your talents to benefit children and the school.
  • Make positive changes. Only PTSA members can vote on the PTSA budget and programs (e.g. funding curriculum-based programs and field-trips, supporting our teachers and staff, and planning social events).
  • Be a role model. By becoming a PTSA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on their education.


The $20 annual PTSA membership allows you to join a collaborative and caring group of parents working to make Bay Farm the best school for our children to learn, grow and thrive.

When you donate to the Bay Farm School PTSA you support so much!

You provide funding for the following programs:  Outdoor Learning Center, learning interventions, Go Green, Art Docents, field trips (for all grades), kindergarten music education, the Science & Engineering Fair, family events (such as family picnics, karaoke, art night, and movie night) and much more!

We want to keep fundraising campaigns to a minimum so therefore, we ask families to make donations directly to the PTSA at the beginning of the school year. Although our recommended donation is $250 per student, any amount is highly appreciated!”

Corporate Matching

The benefit of your PTA donation can be significantly increased at no cost to you through Corporate Matching. Please Search for Corporate Matching or check with your Human Resource Department. Clicking on the link will take you to the Charity Navigator web site where you can check to see if your company supports a matching grant.


Your tax deductible donation to Adopt-a-Teacher will enable our teachers to purchase additional resources and materials including classroom technology, cooking supplies, science projects and other items to enhance your child’s education. These funds will go directly to the teachers and will not be used for any other PTSA programs.

Recommended donation is $25 per child. You are welcome to support at a higher level, whatever you are comfortably able to give. A full teacher adoption is $500.

***Although we are starting the 2020/21 year in distance learning, this doesn’t change the fact that teachers will need supplies and some of these are even more expensive than regular supplies! Teachers have mentioned needing better tools to teach online from home and additional sets of books that can be sent home to kids. There is also hope that eventually the teachers will be back in their classrooms, at which point they will also need funds to supplement their classroom supplies so that historically shared items can be one-to-one for the students.***
