About 12 years ago, two parents and one teacher began developing a comprehensive safety plan for the students and staff at Bay Farm School. Over the years, with the support of staff and parents alike, it has evolved into a comprehensive and efficient plan that will ensure the best care for your child should an emergency occur while your child is at school. Bay Farm School’s plan has been the model for many other schools in Alameda. It is a source of pride for the Bay Farm Staff and the Bay Farm PTA.
Volunteer to help out with the disaster program. It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to maintain an adequate level of preparedness. There are 1-time volunteers opportunities as well as on-going opportunities.
