Overnight Education Trips

4th Grade

Our fourth-grade students attend Gold Rush camp for 3 days. The Coloma Outdoor Discovery School’s California Gold Rush program is designed for fourth graders and integrates California Content and Common Core Standards. CODS’ goal is to celebrate the culture, music, and folklore of the California Gold Rush while using lessons of the past to awaken students’ interest and sense of responsibility for the environment.

5th Grade

Each year the Fifth-Grade class embarks on a 3 day and 2 night Science exploration at the Marin Headlands. Nature Bridge is a world-renowned Science School that uses an inquiry based model to deliver a myriad of experiences to kids of all ages. Our students spend three days hiking while they learn about the complex system that is the San Francisco Bay watershed. They participate in team building challenges, a campfire, a night hike and test the local ecosystem’s health by studying pond biology. The highlight of the trip is always the hike to the Point Bonita Lighthouse where they can see first-hand how the California watershed drains into the Pacific Ocean. An additional perk is the copious World War I and II batteries that line the coast. History and Science present themselves in real life experiences that cannot be replicated within the four walls of a classroom.

6th grade

Our sixth-grade students attend Mother Lode River Center camp for 3 days. Our newest middle schoolers bond as a group while they navigate ropes courses, develop leadership skills, and have a blast! The motto is “Challenge Plus One”!  The goal is taking yourself out of your comfort zone, even just a little bit, on the course and working with your classmates!

7th grade

Our seventh-grade students get to visit and explore the Natural wonders of Yosemite!
