Volunteer @ Bay Farm School

The role of the PTSA is to work together with all parents in assisting our Principal, Teachers and Staff. Together we want to create a positive, educational & fun year for each of our students. Therefore we welcome all of your comments, questions, support, and time.

PTSA Committee Opportunities

You can also use Konstella to join one of our many fun PTSA Committtees

Event Opportunities

Looking for the most current volunteers opportunities and classroom specific sign-up sheets? Head to our Konstella Sign-Ups page where you will find sign-up sheets for specific events.

Classroom Opportunities

Our teachers are always looking for volunteers to help in the classroom (even if classrooms are virtual this year). You could help with reading groups, science, material prep, classroom parties and more. Check with your student’s teacher to find out how you can help them out.

If you are going to volunteer on campus…

  • You need to fill out the Volunteer Agreement Form from AUSD. (This needs to be done every year.)
  • If you plan to volunteer/interact with children while unsupervised by a teacher or staff member, you will also need to be fingerprinted at a Live Scan location. (This only needs to be done once and will remain on file for any school in AUSD. Form provided by office.)
  • If you are driving children in your personal car (field trips) you will need to provide proof of sufficient insurance.

More details on volunteer requirements can be found on the AUSD website.

Garden Work Days

At least once a month, volunteers gather and help maintain Bay Farm’s Outdoor Learning Center and Teaching Gardens. Garden Work Days are held on either Wednesday or Saturday morning from 9:00 – noon and will be announced on Konstealla. All volunteers must bring a signed AUSD Waiver with them to each Garden Work Day. Middle and High School students can receive volunteer hours (bring your form!) for volunteering.  Elementary Students must be accompanied by an adult. Middle and High School students can volunteer without an accompanying adult (MS and HS students still need their waiver form signed by their adult).
