Annual donations from Bay Farm families and supporters allow the PTSA give Bay Farm teachers access to an art closet stocked with a wide variety of art supplies and equipment. These art supplies allow our teachers and classroom Art Docents to expose students to a variety of artistic media and provide opportunities for students, from Kindergarten through 8th grade, to express themselves through artistic expression. Thank you for supporting the Arts!
Mindful artistic expression can help students reduce stress and calm their minds as they deal with remote learning, being separated from school friends and teachers, and not knowing when things will get back to normal. Zentangle® is a relaxing way to draw beautiful images with patterns. It was created by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts and you can always go to zentangle.com to learn more about it.
Reflections! is a national arts recognition and achievement program for students sponsored by the national PTA. Bay Farm’s PTSA proudly enters students from Kindergarten through 8th grade in this national PTA competition. Students of all ages can be inspired (and inspiring) while express themselves imaginatively in their preferred medium: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts! Unleash your creativity.
The deadline to enter is October 15, 2021
Bay Farm’s Art Docent Program brings art into the classroom through monthly, parent-led art projects. Supported by the PTSA, Art Docents have access to a variety of art lessons and material to expose students to a wide variety of artists, artistic styles, and art movements. Students of all ages love and look forward to these lessons.
