Go Green: Bay Farm is green to our (composted) core.
Bay Farm School continues our work to encourage conservation and build awareness of our potential to have a positive impact on the environment. We work, learn, cook and play outdoors at every opportunity. We work hard to make sure our school events and community celebrations are gentle on the planet and big on fun. From kindergarten to 8th grade, our students have many experiences providing service to their school and community. We are committed to having:
- Recycling stations in every classroom, at lunch and on the playground in an effort to recycle at least 90% of our trash
- Reusable bowls for garden and classroom use
- Recycling stations at all school-wide events to minimize trash and maximize recycling
- Service learning opportunities for students to help monitor, manage and develop the school’s Go Green program
And our efforts have been recognized nationally and internationally!
